Time To Dream
I posted this image a little while ago as a placeholder. Like a shop in the plaza, a temporary boarding to hide the changes happening behind. This allowed me time to, assess things, to dream of what might be. To reimagine and renovate both the content within and where I am going. To take a breath and think of the future and not the past.
What sparked this renovation you might ask? In the end it was a couple of things. I have not been happy with my website provider for a while. For the money I was paying, the toolset was stagnant, the promises were not proving true, and I was having to use too many work arounds to do what I wanted.
I also wanted to try some new things, that I will hopefully get to share with you in the next few months. These have come out of some experiments over the last year or two and the thoughts of a friend who has helped me look at some things from a new perspective.
A few of you might be wondering why it has taken so long to make the changes. With the pace of social media and life, maybe it has just slipped by. But the reason this renovation has taken as long as it has, why the Make Photography account has been quiet, is we were investing in us. We did a UCOL night course in Photography. The result of which has firmed up some of my suspicions. The directions I want to take and the pointlessness of vision quests. Projects have styles, projects have a single theme, we do not. We change, we have different interests, sometimes they come to the fore and other times they wait their turn in the background. I am now comfortable having multiple projects on the go at the same time.
Hopefully over the next month or so I will finish the galleries and release them and maybe add a few new surprises for some. Some of the projects will appear in the galleries and some we will just hint at. Keep checking in to see the changes.
