Judging

Photography is not about the photographer, it’s about the community you live in, it’s about the people that view your work and it’s about the people you serve. It’s also about giving back, helping others and giving opportunities.

A few weeks back we were given the privilege to judge the Central Hawkes Bay photographic competition held as part of the Annual A & P Shows. A & P shows are like the county fairs in the US, a chance for small rural communities over a region to come together. These communities are under a lot of pressure as they way we do things constantly evolve. When they come together it’s a great chance to celebrate.
